We had a lovely time down at Vegan Nights this month.

Better still we got a visit from one half of our favourite chefs: BOSH. Ian came down to munch on our classic dawg (The OG) and find out about our devilishly delicious seitan.

We specialise in plant-based junk and lots of our vegan meats are seitan based. We think the texture is great, seitan is an incredibly interesting ingredient to work with because it’s so changeable. 

Based on vital wheat gluten you knead it sorta like a dough and the harder you knead it the tougher it gets - a bit like the consistency of steak. The less you knead it the more fibrous and soft it is, just like chicken. And tbh, we need it and we know you do.

Dubbed by Ian as The MEATIEST HOT DOG EVER (you flirt), we would wholeheartedly agree.

We’ve currently got two flavours, our classic with sauerkraut, mustard, ketchup and crispy onions or a spicy boy for the more adventurous of us with kimchi and hot sauce. Hang tight because we’ve been in the kitchen cookin’ up something new to add to the repertoire…
